Corporate + Community Impact
We take direct action on important issues.
The social, economic, and environmental challenges facing our rapidly changing world are complex: Climate change, global health disparities, extreme poverty, and educational inequality, and more.
To solve challenges like these, we create partnerships with business, government, and non-profit leaders to co-create solutions and drive positive impact. Partners are drawn to the McDonough School of Business because of our expertise, as well as our unique Washington, D.C. location and Georgetown’s trusted brand as a neutral convener. The foundation for our work is our Jesuit values, which focus on educating women and men in service to business and society.
Portion Balance Coalition partners with major food and beverage companies, restaurants and food services, trade associations, public health organizations, academic researchers, and more to improve diets and reduce obesity by focusing on volume (size), proportionality (variety), and quality (nutrient density) of our food and meals.
VF Brands, including Timberland and North Face, are partnering with us to advance sustainable supply chains.
We work with government agencies such as U.S. Department of Labor on closing the employment gap for People with Disabilities.
The Rural Opportunity Initiative (ROI) aims to serve rural American communities by driving financially and socially-sustainable rural development.
AgingWell Hub is a diverse, cross-sector collaborative committed to making a difference for older Americans. It’s about research, partnerships, open innovation, and shared frameworks which come together to enhance the delivery of products and services to the aging population and their family caregivers.
