Originally from Miami, Florida Safiyah Baxter has a deeply rooted passion for culture and service. Baxter holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Communications, and a minor in Communication Studies from Florida International University.
Through her collegiate and professional journey Baxter has afforded the opportunity to work for Non-Profit organizations, Public Relations firms, and Higher Ed institutions where she has collaborated to grow programs, build campaigns, and organize events. Prior to joining the Business for Impact team, Safiyah worked as an Aging and Nutrition Fellow, Program Coordinator, and Program Assistant II for Baltimore City Health Department. Safiyah is passionate about creating impactful social innovative programs, and opportunities for underserved communities.
In 2020, Baxter permanently relocated to Baltimore – in her free time, Safiyah enjoys cooking, roller blading, and exploring the DMV food scene.
