Eric LaRose

At Business for Impact, I currently work on the Rural Opportunity Initiative, which attempts to leverage tax incentives provided by Opportunity Zone (OZ) legislation to better promote economic development in rural areas. I have always been interested in economic development and America’s growing spatial inequality, and before coming to Georgetown worked on several economic research projects related to these topics. Thus, the Rural Opportunity Initiative seemed like a natural fit. After graduation I hope to work for a think tank or government agency doing research and policy evaluation in the fields of urban and regional policy, labor policy, and economic development.
